TIERNEY DETTER

ACTOR - SINGER - DANCER - STITCHER

About Me!

I have always loved to sing and dance, but I didn’t discover my passion for musical theatre until my junior year of high school. I decided to audition for my very first musical, and I’ve never looked back!

Theatre has become such an important part of my life, and I have been so grateful for every opportunity to learn and grow my craft. To me, theatre is a space where I can share new ideas, stories, and values with communities. It welcomes and invites everyone, and I am so grateful to have the opportunity to find my place in it.

While I’ve been auditioning, I’ve spent my time working with Pintler Costumes and Technologies and Julia Custom Tailor and Alterations. At home, I work using my 1968 Singer Touch&Sew to make quilts, alter clothes, and build garments.

I also enjoy taking care of my many house plants, 80s metal/rock music, and being an advocate for my autoimmune disease [ITP].

“Tierney leads with disciplined kindness, and I believe that she will contribute to the transformation of the theatre profession into one that is more inclusive and sustainable while maintaining high artistic standards.”

Laurie Schmeling

Tyler Marchant

“Tierney made plans and executed them, and she worked tirelessly in her pursuit to hone her craft. I observed in her a tenacity and a hunger to improve, and she knew how to set and achieve her goals. She is brimming with potential, not just because she is talented, but because Tierney knows how to work smart.”
